Our single-malt whiskey is finished inside barrels that have long lain upon the shores of Inish Turk Beg, drinking up its unique atmosphere and climate -- and carried in each one are rich tales of regional whiskey history.

Before whiskey can be called whiskey -- at least three years and a day -- it is officially Poitín ("pocheen").

There was once a time when illicit Poitín was hidden in oak barrels; barrels which our whiskey has since made its own. They give it a life and a vibrancy which slowly blends with the mellow moods that the mooring buoy holds.

The barrels have long lay upon the island, gazing up at Croagh Patrick and across Clew Bay to Clare Island, drinking in the passing winds, smelling the vibrant sea-weed on the shore, and soaking up the fragrances of wild roses and wild horses.
